World Recycling Day: At Atlantia, Caring for Your Skin Also Means Caring for the Planet

Aloe eco

May 17th marks World Recycling Day, a moment to reflect on our environmental impact and the importance of adopting more responsible consumption habits. Every action matters.

At Atlantia, we take this to heart: from the way we cultivate our organic aloe vera to how we design and select each package, we always strive to do things more consciously and respectfully toward the environment.

Conscious and Recyclable Packaging

At Atlantia, sustainability isn’t just a promise — it’s a concrete practice. 100% of our primary and secondary packaging is recyclable. What’s more, a significant portion of our packaging already includes up to 70% post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR), without compromising product safety or stability.

Key measures we’ve implemented include:

  • Glass jars: durable, reusable, and infinitely recyclable
  • Up to 70% PCR plastic in selected packaging
  • Compostable wooden caps, designed to reduce unnecessary plastic use
  • FSC or PEFC certified cardboard for boxes and cartons, sourced from sustainable forests

Additionally, all our packaging components are sourced from European suppliers, helping us reduce carbon emissions from transportation while supporting local economies.

Circular Economy at Our Production Site

Our sustainability efforts go beyond packaging. During production, once we extract the pure aloe vera juice, we reuse the remaining leaves as natural compost for agriculture. This way, we close the life cycle of the plant and turn waste into a valuable resource — a truly regenerative and circular production model.

Designing Products that Respect Skin and the Planet

Every product we create at Atlantia is born from a dual commitment: to offer effective and safe skincare solutions, and to minimize our environmental footprint.

We formulate with naturally derived ingredients, especially our organic aloe vera grown on our own plantations in the Canary Islands, following sustainable agricultural practices. This ensures ingredient purity, full traceability, and a reduced environmental impact.

You can explore our scientific studies on aloe vera and learn more about our production process.

All our products are free from parabens and unnecessary ingredients, meet high standards of efficacy and longevity, and are vegan-friendly.

Some representative examples:

  • Bialoe: Organic aloe vera drink (99.17%), bottled in recyclable PET, with a heat-free stabilized formula — no concentrates.
  • Superdefense & Regestimul: Regenerating creams with pure aloe vera, packaged in airless dispensers that reduce waste and preserve formula integrity.
  • Gel Relax & After Sun: Soothing and regenerating treatments in recyclable packaging, designed for efficient, safe use.

Our Commitment Moves Forward

On World Recycling Day, we reaffirm our belief that the future of skincare must be respectful, responsible, and regenerative. That’s why we continue to prioritize transparency in product composition and traceability in the materials we use.

At Atlantia, we are constantly improving our processes, integrating sustainable solutions, and educating our consumers so that together, we can build a more conscious relationship with the products we use daily.

Because caring for your skin also means caring for the planet.
